Devin Holcomb

Devin, originally from Jonesboro, AR, and raised in Southaven, MS, embodies a deep-seated commitment to service and community. His journey into the military began in January 2016 while attending Southaven High School as a junior, when he enlisted in the Army National Guard. After completing basic training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Devin further honed his skills at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri, specializing as an 88M (truck driver).

Starting his military career with the 1687 Transportation Company in Southaven, Devin recently achieved a milestone by transitioning to Delta Company 106 BSB, marking his dedication and advancement within the National Guard.

In 2020, Devin's involvement with 5th Squad commenced during the 5th annual Ruck for Rugrats event, this event sparked a yearly tradition close to his heart, inspiring Devin to contribute actively to supporting veterans in need. Recognized for his leadership potential, Devin became a prospect under Captain Ronnie Hood, and his dedication led him to volunteer for deployment to Kuwait and Jordan as a transportation NCO in 2023.

Upon returning home, Devin was warmly welcomed into the 5th Squad as a full member, solidifying his bond with this close-knit community dedicated to assisting veterans. His unwavering love for his country, family, and friends is evident in every facet of his life.

Since 2020, Devin has proudly called Hernando, MS, his home, building upon the foundation laid during his upbringing in Southaven. His story exemplifies resilience, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to serving others and his nation, while actively supporting fellow veterans through his involvement with the 5th Squad.
