He joined the MS Army National Guard in 1999 at the age of 17, went basic/AIT in Ft Knox as 19K (Abrams Tank crewman) with the 1-198th tank battalion in Amory, Ms. In 2005, he was deployed to Iraq for 12 months. Upon coming home, the MTOE changed and became a 19D (Cavalry Scout) with B Troop 1-98th Cavalry Squadron. He was deployed again in 2010 to Iraq for 9 months. While deployed, he decided not to go back home and work at the railroad. He was hired AGR in 2010 at the 154th RTI, while there he attended Tank Master Gunner School. In 2015, he was promoted to a Readiness position in Kiln, MS with 1-155th IN Battalion. He deployed again in 2018 to Kuwait/Syria with D Troop 1-98th. It was here where he met 5th Squad for the first time, as they came through to provide aid for one of his Soldiers. In 2020 he was promoted to the rank of Master Sergeant as the Squadron Master Gunner. His last deployment was in 2023 as the First Sergeant of D Troop 1-98th. Once home from the Deployment he was transferred to be the Brigade Master Gunner for the 155th ABCT. He decided to retire December 2026 with 27 years and wanted a way to continue helping Soldiers.

He currently lives in Saltillo, Ms with his wife Sabrina, son Gunner, and a golden doodle named Max. In his free time, he likes to ride Motorcycles, Side by Sides, hunt, and attempts to play golf.
