Gregory J. Wolff is a proud U.S. Army veteran who began his military service in 1988. He completed Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and continued on to Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia.
Greg’s first duty assignment was with the 707th Maintenance Battalion at Fort Ord, California, where he served as a 39T – Tactical Computer Systems Repairer and 39G – Automated Communications Computer Systems Repairer. He was later reclassified as a 29J – Teletypewriter Equipment Repairer and returned to Fort Gordon for training as a 31F – Mobile Subscriber Equipment Network Switching System Operator.
After earning the 31F designation, Greg was deployed to Camp Carroll in Waegwan, South Korea, where he played a key role in the deployment and maintenance of Mobile Subscriber Equipment across the Korean peninsula. Following his tour in Korea, he was assigned to the 10th Signal Battalion at Fort Drum, New York. While stationed there, he deployed to Dade County, Florida, to support humanitarian relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. In 1993, He deployed to Mogadishu, Somalia, with the 10th Mountain Division as part of Operation Restore Hope, providing vital communications support in a complex and high-risk operational environment. He honorably concluded his Army service in December 1993.
Greg’s technical skills, adaptability, and commitment to mission success were critical to maintaining and operating the Army’s advanced communications and computer systems during his career.
Beyond his military service, Greg is a devoted husband, loving father of four, and proud grandfather to six grandchildren. The values of service, family, and hard work—deeply instilled during his time in uniform—continue to guide his life today. He resides in Madison, Mississippi, with his beloved wife, Tonya, and their two dogs, Toby and Nash.
