That’s why 5th Squad created the Veteran Disability Claims Assistance (VDCA) Program: a compassionate, veteran-led initiative designed to guide and support our fellow servicemembers through the claims process.

Our mission is to empower veterans by helping them understand their benefits, prepare accurate and complete claims, and reduce the delays and denials that often plague the system. From gathering essential documents and writing personal statements to assisting with appeals and offering educational workshops, we provide personalized, one-on-one help—completely free of charge.

We prioritize underserved populations, including rural veterans and those facing mental health barriers, and we’re committed to improving both individual outcomes and the system as a whole. While we can’t guarantee results, we will walk with you, advocate for you, and ensure you’re not navigating this process alone.
