Veteran Disability Claims Assistance (VDCA)

Navigating the VA disability claims process  can feel like a battle of its own. For many veterans, especially those  living with physical injuries, chronic pain, or the invisible wounds of  PTSD, anxiety, or depression the system can be frustrating,  overwhelming, and often disheartening. That’s why 5th Squad created the  Veteran Disability Claims Assistance (VDCA) Program: a veteran-led  initiative that provides free, compassionate, one-on-one guidance to  help service-members access the benefits they’ve rightfully earned.

At the core of the VDCA Program is a deep  commitment to service, advocacy, and community. We understand the  barriers veterans face because we’ve faced them too. Our mission is to  empower every veteran with the knowledge, tools, and support they need  to confidently navigate the VA claims system from initial application to  final decision.

What We Do:

· Step-by-step claims assistance for both new and existing cases

· Development of personal statements and medical evidence to strengthen claims

· Support with appeals and secondary condition connections

· Resource navigation for veterans unsure of where to start

· Workshops and education to help veterans understand their rights and benefits

· Outreach to undeserved populations,  including those in rural communities or experiencing homelessness or  mental health challenges

Our approach is not transactional, it’s  personal. Every veteran we work with receives direct, individualized  attention from someone who understands the process and genuinely cares.  We operate with honesty, integrity, and purpose, working not only to  improve claim outcomes but also to push for systemic improvements in how  veterans are served by the VA.
